I first went to this creamery last summer after a day on the boat with my family. I had never been. Great place! It's a tad pricey, but then again, finding ice cream that isn't...isn't easy. So I returned to upstate NY this year for Fall. Went to Vermont to see the colors and thankfully got back to NY in time to see the colors there. I drove over to Naples, NY one day to photograph the colors there bc Naples is a little slice of heaven. If for some godforsaken reason I had to move back to NY (I love NY but I'd never live there again. Have my reasons...I can save that story for a rainy day lol) but if I had to move back...like if my mom asked me to move back to help her...I'd do it in a heartbeat. The place I'd move to...Naples. Absolutely beautiful little town. After a day of hiking there and photographing the colors, I purposely took the road to Canandaigua back bc I wanted to stop at Chester Farms. Did I wanna stop for ice cream? Nah, not necessarily. Did I get some? Umm of course I did haha. Just bc it wasn't the main reason I went here doesn't mean I had to skip ice cream...especially after not eating anything all afternoon. I stopped for their AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! chocolate chip cookies! Yall! These are top tier! I got them last summer and when I knew I was coming home again...I even told my mom.." can't wait to get them cookies!" I always watch what I eat. However, I'm a wh__e for an amazing cookie hahaha! And these are SO good. I was there for 2 months. I went back to help my my mom with things around the house and get things done that I didn't get to finish while there last summer. I think I picked up cookies like 4x haha! They were my evening treat. I always have a little treat at night while watching my shows. Hell! The day before I came back here to Idaho..:I went back and got 8 more to bring back with me lol. Their ice cream is definitely delicious, but I only got it that one time lol. It was all bout them cookies! $1.53 each. Little steep for one cookie, but no joke, it's worth it. Cheshire Farms, just please don't raise the price anymore haha. That'd be devastating haha. The staff is very nice. There was a lady there who I think may be the owner. The credit machine was down that first trip there. She took down my info and whatnot and was just so nice. Was hoping to see her again while there, but..:nope. There was an older guy there the last time I went, super nice guy, figured he was her husband. Very nice people. Some of the younger guys there may want to learn the prices a little better and understand questions from customers a bit better. Couple Of them looked totally lost when I asked a couple simple questions. So instead of getting a headache lol, I just let it go bc they really looked like they had no clue. Maybe they were new? Who knows. That doesn't take away from how great this place is. Super nice little dining area. Super clean and very spread out. It really is a great place. Glad Canandaigua has it. I will absolutely ALWAYS recommend this place to anyone and everyone! In addition to their ice cream, I will 1000% tell them to get at least one chocolate chip cookie haha! Sh_t! Good creamery with many different options. I had the salted caramel and then also tried the vanilla soft serve. Thought the caramel was a bit too sweet. Soft serve was good not mind blowing. Would recommend if in the area.

Awesome ice cream, coffee, and a wide array of treats served by the friendly "Mooters" team. What a great weekend treat to stop by and experience the delicious ice cream. Very lovely farm themed ambiance with plenty of seating inside and out side. Love this place highly recommended.

This is my favorite ice cream place around! Fresh hand made ice cream, great desserts, coffee bar and cafe style sandwiches etc. Everything is excellent!

Super tasty ice cream. Get the addle cone, it's worth it. The Java jolt was awesome and the moose tracks were also delicious. I like the peanut butter in the chocolate peanut butter

I ordered the No sugar added moose tracks and was told by one of the workers that it had no sweetener or sugar in it - as a previous diabetic and a person who has an intolerance to Maltitol and Sorbitol I really needed to know those two ingredients weren't included in this ice cream. Long story short, after taking a tiny bite I knew this was indeed sweetened with something besides what I was told - that it was free of sweeteners. I went back to the counter and talked with another worker who was very nice to look up the ingredients online - they're not listed on the package and not made in-house for this flavor - it DID indeed include both ingredients I'm intolerant of - I am so glad I asked as had I finished my one scoop I would have spent the next day of my vacation in a bathroom. The replaced my order with a custard which was very good albeit full sugar. I would ask that the owners please train their employees on possible allergens and to follow through with hard facts and not guesses about ingredients.

FYI: they close pretty early right now 7:30pm everyday except Sunday when they close at 6:00pm. We tried coming after dinner one night, and they had just closed so we came back during the day for midday ice cream because vacation why not! Had the butter chocolate almond, which was very good and had a creamy, almost custard like base.
